The journey to this remarkable achievement began when Ocabo, a Fine Arts graduate, found himself unable to afford traditional art materials. Discovering the potential of digital painting on an iPad, he spent thousands of hours honing his skills, eventually fulfilling his dream of creating art despite financial constraints.
"Black Hole" is a testament to Ocabo's innovative approach to art. The illustration, created entirely on an iPad using the "Procreate" app, took over 100 hours to complete. Ocabo applied traditional painting techniques to this new medium, resulting in a unique piece that combines the old with the new.
The final artwork was printed using an Epson Stylus Pro printer on high-grade fine art paper with archival quality inks. Each limited edition print is signed and numbered by Ocabo himself and comes with a certificate of authenticity, complete with a serialized numbered hologram for added security.
The artwork, printed in A1 size at 300 dpi, has been exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zaragoza, Spain, the Kafell Art gallery in Spain, and the Pacific Art League in the United States. The illustration's quality meets museum standards, and special acid-free inks have been used to ensure its durability over time.
Despite the limitations of the iPad screen, Ocabo managed to overcome the challenges to create a consistent and detailed illustration. He had to constantly zoom in and out, remembering the entire composition to maintain the consistency of the artwork. His dedication and innovative approach to art have not only won him accolades but also paved the way for other artists to explore digital mediums.
In conclusion, Jaime Sanjuan Ocabo's "Black Hole" is a testament to the power of innovation and the limitless possibilities of digital art. His journey from a struggling artist to an award-winning digital painter serves as an inspiration for artists worldwide, proving that creativity knows no bounds, and art can thrive even in the most challenging circumstances.
